Chantra Khiri Chalet Chiang Mai, one of Chiang Mai’s Lanna style luxury resort and restaurant was opened since May 23, 2017. From its name, Chantra is from ‘จ’ and ‘ต’ in Thai language with the meaning of prosperity while Khiri means mountain, Chantra Khiri then means prosperity on/of the mountains according to the owner/founder Kriangsak Kanrayawattanajaroen who first travelled here for a coffee and fell in love with the land with this stunning panoramic view.

“Great peaceful retreat surrounded by nature”
“This was a great city detox place. The view from the main dining room/pool area was great. The staff were super nice. The surrounding area also has lots of little cafe's or destinations to go to, but you're gonna need a car. Would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to get away from the city and rejuvinate. Would recommend requesting a room with a balcony that looks out onto the valley though. ”

“Excellent property, great staff, could be much better in food & facilities”
“Let me start with good stuff - property is excellent, modern with Thai aesthetic. We were in the Napa suite which is an excellent room overlooking the forest. Really beautiful views. Staff is very friendly & nice and hospitable. Now the peeves - the breakfast is really poor, very few choices with basics like cereal missing. Second, there are no facilities in the property - for eg no spa. It doesn’t help that the property is 25km away from the city centre - it’s great for relaxing but there’s nothing else to do other than reading a book. Highly recommended if you’re self driving & want to stay away from the city centre. You’ll have to keep going back to the city to eat and get massage though - if you don’t mind that ( we didn’t particularly mind it) - then, sure - it’s a really nice place to stay at. ”

“Take 40 mins to the hotel by Grab Car only cost around 400 thb, so transportation will not be your concern. Hotel is new , 8 month only, Their view is very nice plus the large and girly room. The toliet is extremely beautiful!! swimming pool is a bit small but still okay . Everything in the hotel is beautiful and selfieable . The views from our balcony was amaizing . The staff is very friendly and always have a smile in their face . The manager Kanoon was very nice and fulfilled all our need . She was very polite and extraordinary accommodating . Also the bell man, Keng the driver, always had a smile on his face and very kind . This hotel is very private , you feel like you are the only one there, even though they were fully booked. The facility has a feel of culture with lots nature and the grounds are with beautiful landscaping . The pool has beutiful views of the mountain . The food was very yummy and staff at the resturant very nice . We love it and will return back here again .Helpful ”
