Chantra Khiri Chalet Chiang Mai, one of Chiang Mai’s Lanna style luxury resort and restaurant was opened since May 23, 2017. From its name, Chantra is from ‘จ’ and ‘ต’ in Thai language with the meaning of prosperity while Khiri means mountain, Chantra Khiri then means prosperity on/of the mountains according to the owner/founder Kriangsak Kanrayawattanajaroen who first travelled here for a coffee and fell in love with the land with this stunning panoramic view.

We booked the chantra ro...We arrived at the hotel and was welcomed very warm and took us to our room. We booked the chantra room and it was fantastic , the bathroom was grand and spacious. The views from our balcony was amaizing . The staff is very friendly and always have a smile in their face . The manager Kanoon was very nice and fulfilled all our need . She was very polite and extraordinary accommodating . Also the bell man, Keng the driver, always had a smile on his face and very kind . This hotel is very private , you feel like you are the only one there, even though they were fully booked. The facility has a feel of culture with lots nature and the grounds are with beautiful landscaping . The pool has beutiful views of the mountain . The food was very yummy and staff at the resturant very nice . We love it and will return back here again .Helpful ”

“Wonderful Views, Wonderful Restaurant”
“The road and the area up to the resort are very pretty. You have to drive up a short, but steep hill to get to the hotel. It's quiet up there and you mostly hear the sounds of nature--and some relaxing music coming from the restaurant. The grounds of the hotel are very nice--with neat plants and cool antique furniture. The view from the rooms (if you get one on the second floor or the third floor) are nice and you can sit on the balcony and have a nice cup of coffee looking out over the forested mountain on the other side of the valley. The rooms are large and have a nice sitting area. Beds are really comfortable and cozy. The pool is really close to the restaurant and the views out over it are nice. Pool closes at 6:00, because it's essentially an extension of the restaurant patio. The food was AMAZING. We are vegan/veg and there was not many options for us on a meat-heavy menu, but the ones we had were very, very good. We just kept having them over and over again. ”
