Chantra Khiri Chalet Chiang Mai, one of Chiang Mai’s Lanna style luxury resort and restaurant was opened since May 23, 2017. From its name, Chantra is from ‘จ’ and ‘ต’ in Thai language with the meaning of prosperity while Khiri means mountain, Chantra Khiri then means prosperity on/of the mountains according to the owner/founder Kriangsak Kanrayawattanajaroen who first travelled here for a coffee and fell in love with the land with this stunning panoramic view.

“The hotel and scenery was absolutely beautiful. Staff were friendly. Food at the restaurant tasted great deserving it its Michelin Bib Gourmand. I enjoyed most dishes but some of the meat dishes were tougher than ideal like the grilled fish and boiled pork soup. Receptionists was kind enough to arrange a taxi back to the city for 1000 baht. Great getaway from the city life for 1-2 days”

“This was a great city detox place. The view from the main dining room/pool area was great. The staff were super nice. The surrounding area also has lots of little cafe's or destinations to go to, but you're gonna need a car. Would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to get away from the city and rejuvinate. Would recommend requesting a room with a balcony that looks out onto the valley though. ”
